Main interventions: “Bologna Fiera” motorway ramp; structural upgrading of pre-existing works according to anti-seismic regulations; installation of new IT systems to guarantee the operations of the dynamic third carriageway; geometric and operational improvement works on the system of by-pass roads by building new ramps and roundabouts; environmental mitigation works. The first operational lots were completed ahead of the contractually established schedule.

expansion of the A14 in the section that runs parallel to the Bologna By-Pass, creating the "dynamic 3rd carriageway” which involves enlarging the emergency lane so that, under intense traffic conditions it can be used as a normal carriageway or, under normal traffic conditions it can be used for emergencies.
